In a study published in Psychiatric Research, New Zealanders on antidepressants report the following:
– 82% say that the drugs have helped alleviate their depression
– 62% report sexual difficulties
– 60% report feeling emotionally numb
– 39% care less about others
If depression is the price I pay for wanting sex and caring about others, then I’m happy to pay it.
